Worked as a reporter for a daily newspaper with 30,000 circulation. Wrote features and worked on production duties for Berkshires Week, a weekly arts supplement. Contributed news and features articles, and worked on page layout and copy-editing for the daily paper. Served as primary substitute for vacationing Online Editor, which involved maintaining and monitoring the paper’s website and social media presence. Served as one of the weekend Online/Social Media editors, and served as interim Features section designer/editor. Also filled in for member of Sports staff.
Berkshire Actors Theatre: Press Agent/Assistant to the Artistic Director, Pittsfield, MA February 2012-August 2013
Fielded media requests and wrote press releases. Organized social media promotion of Berkshire Actors Theatre and its Summer 2012 Season on Facebook and Twitter. Conducted on-camera promotional interview with Artistic Director highlighting Summer Season announcement. Edited video promo for season, and released it on Youtube.
Yahoo!: Freelance Writer –– Featured Contributor January 2012-January 2013
Worked as a freelance contributor for various Yahoo! platforms. Accepted into the Featured Contributor program. Contributed 2012 election content for Yahoo! News, and provided entertainment reports for Yahoo! TV and Yahoo! Movies. Named a “Rising Star of 2012” by the editors at Yahoo! Contributor Network.

Researched and gathered information for investigative stories for the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. Wrote articles for CBSNews.com, helped produce 3-minute Evening News-style intern project, did practice anchor read from Evening News desk, gathered b-roll footage for broadcast stories, logged interviews. Gathered data for ProPublica, Sarasota-Herald Tribune, and CBS News’ “Tainted Drywall” database.
