Interview: Marcus Samuelsson on some of his favorite things

I spoke with celebrated chef Marcus Samuelsson — who counts the iconic Red Rooster Harlem among his *many* accomplishments — about the importance of using his platform to give a stage to other Black chefs, artists, and creatives.

He also talked about his partnership with Bombay Sapphire, why his grandmother’s cast iron skillet is his kitchen must-have, what gets him up every morning (he says his son Zion is the “best alarm clock”), and why he loves one particularly special place in Harlem for jazz, food, and community. Check out our conversation for Barron's PENTA here.
