Re:solve Global Health: Podcast Host, New York, NY. January 2023 - present

Host new podcast Re:solve Talks from Re:solve Global Health that spotlights candid and nuanced conversations with experts from a range of industries. In each episode, the podcast addresses what is holding us back from building healthier societies around the world.

Produce each episode. Reach out to and book guests -- including newsmakers, policy leaders, and luminaries in global health -- for the podcast and devise the scope and theme of each episode.

Episodes are available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Season 1 covered everything from how the world is preparing for the enduring realities of 'long COVID,' to what is being done to address maternal mortality rates across Latin American countries, to what the global health community can do to reach the UNAIDS 2030 global HIV targets, among other topics.

Season 2 launched June 2023.

University of Chicago: Science Writer, New York, NY. March 2019 -May 2019

Worked remotely for the Institute for Translational Medicine (ITM) at University of Chicago as a Science Writer for a temporary NIH-funded project. Created easily digestible summaries of research studies to connect possible candidates with clinical trials. Synthesized and condensed scientific content for the layperson, collaborated with researchers to ensure all content was accurate, produced reports that will ultimately be used in a giant database of clinical trial information shared across Chicago-area medical institutions.

CBS News: SciTech Editor-at-Large, New York, NY.             September 2015-May 2017

Oversaw SciTech vertical for CBSNews.com. Reported on everything from Apple and Facebook to cybersecurity and Anonymous. Conducted interviews with high-profile sources like Buzz Aldrin, Bill Nye, and Neil deGrasse Tyson, medical researchers, and tech experts. Posted and edited stories as well as built photo and multimedia galleries using CBS’s CMS. Pitched long-form enterprise features and short web articles. Interviewed celebrities like Andy Roddick and Wendy Williams for CBS News Entertainment.

Fox News: Science and Technology Reporter/Editor, New York, NY.    August 2014-September 2015

Edited and wrote content for FoxNews.com's SciTech vertical –– reported on science, technology, environmental, and military news. Regularly filled in for SciTech editor, which involved editing and producing articles by freelance and staff writers through Fox's CMS, as well as updating FoxNews.com's SciTech social media accounts.

Hancock Shaker Village: Public Relations Consultant                           March 2014-January 2017

Worked remotely from New York as a freelance Public Relations Consultant for living history museum in Massachusetts. Developed social media strategies to increase the museum's digital presence on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Organized an annual Instagram photo contest that generated a large increase in the number of followers for all of the museum's social media accounts. Launched social media promotion of Baby Animals on the Shaker Farm, the museum's official annual start of the spring/summer season. Sent out press releases and fielded media requests for the museum's programs and exhibits.

The Berkshire Eagle: Reporter/Designer/Editor, Pittsfield, Mass.        August 2012-August 2013

Covered local news and wrote enterprise features, produced video and audio reports, designed pages for daily paper and weekly arts supplement, and frequently served as Online Editor. Created headlines and website captions, and ran paper’s social media accounts on the weekends. Served as interim Features section editor and designer for four months. Interviewed Tony Shalhoub and Olympia Dukakis, among others.

Berkshire Actors Theatre: Press Agent and Assistant to the Artistic Director, Pittsfield, Mass.

Fielded media requests and wrote press releases. Organized social media promotion of Berkshire Actors Theatre and its Summer 2012 Season on Facebook and Twitter. Coursework included video, on-camera reporting, arts reporting, sociology, and anthropology. Graduate thesis was published by The Atlantic. Co-hosted a live, one-hour radio show for ArtsCultureBeat.com. Wrote script, interviewed singer-songwriter Jo Lawry live on-air, and answered listener calls.
